I was very satisfied with my visit. In regards to food, in my experience, most places like this will have limited, overpriced food and that seemed to be the case here as well. But we had eaten before arriving so that took care of that problem. I really enjoyed the visit and would recommend it for people who like to walk leisurely and enjoy the animals and the sunshine and see/read about animals. If not for some back issues, I would have stayed much longer and probably walked the zoo twice. But back pain prohibited that. I loved the zoo and would recommend it.
Pretty nice zoo with some decent exhibits. Good selection of animals, and the kids love the train and petting zoo pathway. Feeding the birds is also a great experience for everyone. Only drawback might be that it's a bit pricey for some.
From StL where the Zoo is top notch. Gotta hand it to these guys, for a preserve, this was a rather nicely run and maintained place. Great for a part day outing with kids. Would recommend to anyone visiting area and looking for a break from the beach life.
This is a great zoo. It's not a large zoo, but it is well kept and most of the animals are easy to see. Our group was 2 adults. It took us about 4 hours to comfortably see everything. For an additional fee there is a train ride, bird food sticks, and pellet cups for feeding turtles, swan, goose, sheep, goat, llama, giraffe, and others.
Loved it! The train ride was short but gets you a really great view of the animals. This zoo does a really great job of maintaining the health and happiness of their residents. All the animals looked fat and sassy!
