Roditys is a classic. The grilled octopus is among the best I've had, and the Greek salad was a lively departure from a traditional Greek salad. The wine by the glass is not a good deal (small and expensive for what you get) but they have a good selection of Greek wine, primarily from Crete, and if purchased at the bottle price is an excellent deal. So take a friend and buy the bottle, or enjoy an afternoon polishing it off yourself, but definitely order the wine there by the bottle. Atmosphere is great and exactly what you might expect out of a classic Greek restaurant in Chicago, with friendly management and servers in a festive environment.
A fine greek restaurant in Greektown, Chicago. Not as visible or fancy as other places in Greektown, the food is tasty, well prepared, and the closest thing to real greek food you can find in Chicago. Expect to spend about 30 bucks per person for an appetiser, a main dish and a glass of wine.
Awesome food! Great prices! Super friendly and authentic atmosphere!
My family has been going to Roditys for 40 years and it's always a great time. The braised lamb and lemon soup are our favorite dishes.
My wife and I chose Roditys for our date night. Our waiter, Pete, was great! He was as committed to us having a relaxing and enjoyable experience, as were we. The food and wine were good and the service was superb! I would recommend this restaurant to a friend!
