I wish the breakfast wasn't so expensive but hey, this is downtown San Francisco. The room I stayed in had an amazing view of the bay and Hoyt tower and it was equipped with everything I needed for my business trip. It's close to China Town which means it's also close to some of the best food in San Francisco. I liked that is was easy to walk to from the Bart station so I could easily get too and from the airport. Marriott is always my first choice when I travel.

I stay in San Francisco quite often and this is my first time staying in the marriott union Square and it's a fine establishment! The bathroom are a bit on the small side for a big guy like myself, but it gets the job done. The beds are fantastic it's like sleeping on a cloud made for a greats night sleep! The TV is compatible with third party hardware (ie: playstation 4, etc...) which is always a plus for myself. It's located right in Union Square which is close by to a giant shopping district right in downtown San fran. And one last thing if you're staying at this marriott don't get it confused with the JW, both fine hotels but you'll be walking about 2 blocks with your luggage to the union Square marriott.

Stayed here from 8/31 to 9/3 as my partner hurt her back on a cruise and has bad knees we required a room with a walk in shower as most new Marriott's have; we did not ask for a handicapped room as that is not normally necessary for a walk in shower. Needless to add three rooms later we finally were placed into a handicapped room which had a walk in shower. It seems that the front desk is not aware of the equipment in the rooms. The manager did phone and was extremely helpful and apologetic. We desired a tour of S.F. and checked with the concierge who had 2 options; we chose the GrayLine as one sits up higher. We were scheduled for pickup on 9/2 a5 1:10 it was 15 minutes late for a scheduled 3 hour tour; we it took an additional hour to pickup at other hotels and take us to the ticket office. The driver, at no time, assisted people to get on and off...the last step is quite steep..and they had no small step as an assist! The tour was to end at 4;30 but returned us to the hotel at 6:30..which resulted in our losing our dinner reservations. I definitely WOULD NOT recommend Gray Line tour in San Francisco.. This review is rated on Grey Line.
