A bit touristy because of its history of being in a Visa commercial and such, but still a decent place to grab a bite. Service was good, prices fair.
Editing because of a recent visit.
I've been here quite a few times but service is seriously suffering lately. Sat at the bar, ordered a sazerac, which was good, and some furikake fries that were drowning in oil. I waited over an hour for some sort of indication I was still being served before I just asked for my check and cashed out; I was going to eat dinner but decided otherwise. For having three bartenders on shift and not a full bar, that's really unacceptable.
Like I said, I've been here quite a few times. I like this place. Or, at least I want to because the food and drinks are usually fantastic. The recent decline in service has me questioning whether I'll come back or ever recommend it again. Just disappointed.
Rachel and Jessica made tonight a joy. What a great staff. We really enjoyed the Brussels Sprout starter. The filet was perfectly cooked- and the grilled potatoes and sweet yams made this a real stand out. The clam chowder was worth returning for. I will be ordering the Apple Crisp ahead next time. And the Panna Cotta with real whip cream was divine. What a gem! I might need to come back just to work my way through the cocktail list. Okay, back to the staff- from managment to the hostess- these guys get it!
We sat at the table long enough without being acknowledged by a server that I decided to set a timer; when the timer hit 6 minutes we left. It would be different if they were busy, but they weren't.
This place a must. I've passed by it once a day for 2 years and never thought much. Decided to get dinner last night and my only disappointment was I didn't go there sooner. The service was incredible. The chef cam out to our table to offer a special rib eye 37oz bone in steak and what sides we preferred. The food was delicious. I highly recommend this place for any meal.
