Loved this place despite the slow brunch service. They had only about 6 customers while we were dining, but it took 35 minutes for food to come out. The drinks were just as slow. Luckily it was a nice day to sit outside and chill and we were in no rush. We had two rounds of margaritas and they were strong. Thumbs up on that.
The food was actually worth the wait too. We ordered the and and finished every last bite. The portions are huge and the flavors were perfect.
Ironically though, we were more for our second round of drinks (which was during Happy Hour......so much for that.
Great service and really good food. But compared to other restaurants in the same price class it wasn't perfect.
Incredible meal. The tasting menu with the drink pairing was probably the best I've had. The staff were friendly and every plate was brought out by the chefs. Made you feel special - an extravagant food experience for a special occasion
Superb way to experience a "meal". You chefs hand you each dish as it's prepared in front of your very eyes. Good luck getting a reservation, though.
I was impressed by how creative each dish was at Momofuku Ko. Many of the dishes had flavors and textures I had never experienced before, such as foie gras powder. I felt some dishes were poorly balanced in terms of texture. But all the dishes spoke volumes about how David Chang in not afraid of challenging the status quo, and despite my dislike for some of the dishes, I still enjoyed the meal.
